By Linda Kor At 12:56 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24, the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a train derailment east of Winslow near Hibbard Road. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) reported that there were no injuries, no hazardous material released, no danger to the public and no other public roadways are impacted as a result of this incident. This incident is solely on BNSF property. The cause of the derailment is being investigated by BNSF personnel.
