I have 31-plus years of service at Little Colorado Medical Center as a licensed Arizona Respiratory Therapist and am the current cardiopulmonary director. I have 12 years of service on the Winslow City Council; currently serving as vice mayor. I volunteer on the Winslow Council on Aging as chairman of the governing board and executive director in a non-paid/volunteer position. I have seven years of volunteer service on the Navajo County Fair Board; currently serving as secretary. I volunteer and am a lifetime member and current director for the American Dairy Goat Association. This year I was an inductee to the Arizona 4-H Hall of Fame. A top priority for me is a healthy and vibrant community. This includes focus on improving the overall quality of life by honoring diversity and providing opportunities for residents to be successful. Equally important is building a sustainable and attractive community by supporting public safety and improving essential services such as waste removal, sewer and clean and accessible water. We must focus on developing a long-term strategic plan to maintain and improve the city’s infrastructure, roads, sidewalks and systems. The City of Winslow must continue to fight for our water rights, work with our county, state and federal governments, in order to rebuild the Winslow Levee and remove many Winslow properties from the floodplain zone. Additional priorities include obtaining available and affordable housing, encouraging new industry, promoting and supporting our local business community, encouraging growth and sustainability, making it easier for residents and businesses to work and correspond with city government services and making sure that we continue to strengthen the relationships we have with our neighboring tribal communities, faith leaders, civic leaders and business leaders. Throughout my tenure on the Winslow City Council and executive leadership positions, I have gained much knowledge and experience that I will bring to the role of mayor. Please help me to help Winslow “Keep Moving Forward.”
