City of Winslow

The City of Winslow is sponsoring the Shopping for the Elderly program in partnership with local civic groups and individual volunteers. This program has been put in place to assist the elderly in the community with their shopping needs during this uncertain time. This service is available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Elderly citizens in need of assistance may call Winslow City Hall at (928) 289-1476 and a volunteer will come by their home, pick up a shopping list and payment, purchase the items and bring them back to the residence. Any individuals or community groups who would like to generously volunteer to shop for elderly citizens may call city hall. There will be no monetary compensation for volunteering. Any person who has experienced an illness within the last 30 days is asked not to volunteer for this program. This will allow the city to protect the health and safety of its elderly citizens. The City of Winslow is also offering free public transit service at this time. Contact Winslow Public Transit at (928) 289-2422 for assistance.
