Leonard A. Begay Holy Rosary for Leonard A. Begay, 82, will be recited at 9:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with inurnment to follow in Desert View Cemetery. Leonard Begay passed away on Jan. 19, 2020, in Winslow. He was born July 15, 1937, in Paraje, N.M. He was a respected member of his community and church. He touched many peoples’ lives during his time as a member of AA. He was an avid sports fan and remained active his whole life. He was an amazing man and father. He is survived by son, Onesimo Padilla; daughters, Teresa Oliva, Michelle Padilla, Tristen (Rudy) Aragon and Tyler Villarino; sister, Ida (Percy) Kenasta; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Begay; father, Beskey Begay; mother, Pauline Begay; and sister, Sarah James. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow handled the arrangements.
