Superintendent Cyndie Mattox said, “We had about 10 applicants for the position, which is a lot. We narrowed it down to four, then had a committee decide from there.”

According to Mattox, the committee consisted of teachers, administrators, parents and classified employees. “They were all very professional and well rounded and as unbiased as possible. I was not on that committee.”

Mattox continued, “I believe that we have found another piece of our puzzle with Dr. Donner. I feel renewed and that he is going to help us keep our momentum flowing in trying to make Winslow High School a gem in Northern Arizona.

“He is student driven as well as staff driven. He believes in 1,000 hellos a day and I think that energy will be a very good fit at Winslow High School.”
