The family of Gary Calvin Davidson announces his passing after his valiant battle with cancer, on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, in Beeville, Texas, at the age of 80 years.

He will be laid to rest at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor.

Gary will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Donna Lee Ray of 12 years and his children, Shelley Caldwell, Wendy Brimhall, Richard Davidson and Daniel Davidson. Gary will also be fondly remembered by his 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Judy Ann Martarano; two sons, John and James; and one grandson.

Gary was born in San Jose, Calif., on April 2, 1938, and was raised in Pacific Grove, Calif., and enjoyed restoring cars, building and remodeling homes, playing cards, gardening, and dancing the night away on cruise ships. He was a dedicated, honorable and loving husband and family man and an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; donating service, time and his many talents in service to the Lord and his fellow men.
