Obit Adams Margueritte

Margueritte “Maggie” Adams, 88, of Brighton, Colo., entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018. Services will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, located at 75 S. 13th Ave., in Brighton, Colo. Maggie was born in Winslow on July 20, 1929. Her loving husband Eldon met her when she was attending college in Flagstaff. Eldon and Maggie were married in Winslow on March 31, 1950, where they lived until they moved to Denver, Colo. In 1978 they relocated to Van Aire in Brighton, Colo. She attended schools in Winslow, graduating from high school there and then continuing her under graduate education in Flagstaff. Upon completing her degree, she returned to Winslow. Maggie had a long career, which began as a telephone operator and then she went on to become a mortgage loan processor working her way up to a manager position. She retired from Foleys. For 12 years Maggie volunteered her time to Westernaires making the costumes and being a monitor. Maggie was an active member of her church. Our sweet Maggie was loved by anyone she ever met. When she could no longer get around, she had a telephone list of her phone buddies who she loved talking to, including so many neighbors and friends. Maggie kept her childhood home and always dreamed of relating back to her roots in Winslow. She is survived by her loving husband, Eldon; her daughter, Janice Gunter from California; son, Harry (Jeanne) from Centennial, Colorado; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
