The 14-year-old boy accused in the shooting death of a Concho woman will be tried as an adult. Jason Cade Richardson is being charged with first-degree murder in the death of TerrLynne Collins, 54, after authorities believe she confronted the boy during an Oct. 3 burglary at her residence in Concho. Richardson fled on foot, but was located by police the next day in the Pinetop-Lakeside area.
Court documents allege that Richardson had a gun, a knife and a hockey stick in his possession at the time of the crime. He is also being charged with burglary.
The next hearing on the case is scheduled on Wednesday, Nov. 1, in Apache County Superior Court in St. Johns.
