The Navajo County Fair will open in just a few weeks and this year organizers have added some new Sunday events not only to watch, but to participate in. The fair is scheduled Sept. 13-17.
The Rank Lil Buckers will feature kids ages 7 to 14 competing on miniature bucking bulls that are bred to buck. Parents with kids interested in participating can call (620) 621-4616. Weight restrictions do apply.
Xtreme Bronc Riding is also slated. Adults will stop, saddle and ride their horses across a designated finish line in addition to other competitive events. For more information on competing in Xtreme Bronc Riding, call (805) 344-1701.
These events will be held beginning at noon on Sunday, Sept. 17. For those attending these events, admission is $5 for adults, $3 for kids ages 6 to 12 and free for kids 5 and under.
