A newly refurbished 14” Celestron CGE Pro 1400 has been added to the Winslow Homolovi Observatory at Homolovi State Park thanks to the generous donations of community members of Winslow who provided money for the purchase of the telescope.

Winslow’s City Manager Steve Pauken who has played a key roll in the development of the observatory stated, “A roof is going to be added to the observatory in the next week and the telescope will then be able to be mounted. With this latest addition there will now be four telescopes at the observatory.”

Those who have donated to the development of the observatory and the purchasing of telescopes will be the first to see the latest addition installed at the park sometime in March.
