Jacob Marshall Fancher, 35, of Elkhart, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Palestine Regional Medical Center in Palestine, Texas. A celebration of life service was held Nov. 19 at Rhone Memorial Chapel in Palestine. He was born on April 18, 1981, in Prescott to Ernie Fancher and Nancy Watson Fancher. Jake was employed at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Correctional Officer. He loved animals, he loved to hunt and he loved to be outdoors. Above all else, he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his loving wife; Monica Wischmann Fancher, daughter, Alexis Fancher; two sons, Connor Fancher and Jonathan Fancher; his mother, Nancy Fancher; two sisters, Amanda Fancher and Aubree Connor; his in-laws, C.J. and Sue Wischmann; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. Rhone Funeral Home of Palestine was in charge of the arrangements.
