Welcome to tribunenewsnow.com, the website of the Painted Desert Tribune, published by Painted Desert Media Group, LLC, 118 E. Second St., Winslow, Arizona 86047. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What you may do
You may read, search, print and share links to anything on this site for personal, non-commercial use. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link to the original article.
2. What you may not do
You may not republish, redistribute, scrape, sell or systematically copy our articles, photographs, page images, print editions or data without written permission. You may not use the site to harass anyone, to send spam, to interfere with the site’s operation, or to try to gain access to accounts or systems that are not yours. Automated access for indexing by public search engines is welcome; automated bulk copying is not.
3. Copyright
Everything we publish, including articles, photographs, videos, audio, page layouts and the print archive, is protected by copyright and belongs to Painted Desert Media Group, LLC or to the people who licensed it to us. Syndicated columns and wire content belong to their authors or syndicates. Requests to reuse our work go to newsroom@yourtrib.com.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
Subscription, advertising, classified, obituary and notice prices are shown on the site and include applicable Arizona transaction privilege tax. Recurring subscriptions renew automatically at the stated interval until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page or by writing to newsroom@yourtrib.com; cancellation stops future charges and your access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. Print delivery depends on the postal service and carriers, and a missed issue is replaced or credited, not refunded. Day passes and single purchases are not refundable once used. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
5. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your password private and for anything done through your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it. An account may be shared within one household but not beyond it.
6. Things you send us
When you submit a letter, an event, a photograph, an obituary, a notice, a classified ad or a news tip, you confirm that you have the right to send it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You give the Painted Desert Tribune permission to edit it for length, clarity and style and to publish it in print, online, in our newsletters and in our archive, without payment. We may decline to publish anything, and we do not return submitted material. Letters to the editor are published with the writer’s name and town. Confidential news tips are treated as confidential; we protect our sources.
7. Comments
This site does not host reader comments. Letters to the editor are the way to respond in public; the contact page is the way to reach us in private.
8. Advertising and notices
Advertisers are responsible for the content of their advertisements and for having the rights to any material they supply. We may refuse or remove an advertisement at our discretion. Public and legal notices are published as supplied; the person placing the notice is responsible for its accuracy and for meeting any legal deadline.
9. Accuracy and corrections
We work to get things right and we correct mistakes openly. Corrections are noted on the original article and listed on our Corrections page. If you believe something we published is wrong, write to newsroom@yourtrib.com.
10. No warranty; limits on liability
The site is provided as is. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, Painted Desert Media Group, LLC is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from anything published on it, beyond the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Links and third parties
We link to other sites and embed content from services such as YouTube and mapping providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
12. Privacy
How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version; continued use of the site after a change means you accept it. Changes that materially affect paid subscriptions will be announced to subscribers by email.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts serving Navajo County, Arizona.
