By Naomi Hatch The Taylor Town Council approved a sewer construction agreement with the Arizona Water infrastructure Finance Authority (WIFA) Oct. 8, 2008, and authorized the town manager to execute and deliver loan documents in connection with the sewer construction agreement in Resolution No. 2008-16. Town Manager Gus Lundberg explained to the council March 3 that the resolution did not specify what the town pledged to repay the loan, and WIFA officials were requesting a clarification. He further explained that due to a miscalculation for interest the town secured two percent interest on the loan for the entire time of the loan, noting that this is the town’s only loan. Resolution R2016-03 clarified the source of funds to make payments, which would be from the water and wastewater treatment account, and was unanimously approved.
