The Winslow Woman’s Club and Winslow Cancer Support Group will host a Luminaria Walk on Saturday, Sept. 12, to remember those who are battling or who have battled cancer. Luminarias will be placed along Second Street, and will be lit in the evening and remain lit until they go out. The lighting of the luminarias will be followed by a prayer at the Standin’ On The Corner Park.
Luminaria bags, candles and registration forms are available at local businesses for $5. All proceeds will go to benefit the Winslow Cancer Support Group and its programs.

Luminaria displays will also be at the Route 66 Gift Shop in downtown Winslow, the Winslow Chamber of Commerce, The Tribune-News office in Holbrook and at registration sites for the 5K/10K For The Cure that will also be held on Saturday.
