Jonathan Mahkewa, 22, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015, in Polacca. Services were held May 29. He was born on July 15, 1992, in Tuba City. Jonathan’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and music. He worked as a laborer and did various jobs in construction with his father. He loved spending time with family. Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Mahkewa; his father, Robert Mahkewa Jr.; his stepmother, Denise Mahkewa; a sister, Kristen Mahkewa; and two brothers, Robert Mahkewa III and Matthew Mahkewa. He was preceded in death by his girlfriend, Angelena Lomayaktewa; his paternal grandpa, Robert Mahkewa; his maternal grandparents, Hoover and Mary Schultz; and his uncles, Emery Schultz and Larsen Schultz. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
