The NAACP Arizona State Conference will meet in Winslow on Saturday, March 7, at Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. church, located at Fourth Street and Pope in Winslow. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m., followed by the meeting at 10 a.m. Delegates from all over Arizona will attend this meeting, which will be hosted by Brenda and Mary Alice Hayes. Their father, Henry Lee Hayes, was the president of the Winslow NAACP for more than a decade. The Hayes sisters are very serious about reactivating the Winslow Branch, and continuing the legacy of civil and human rights activism that their father embraced and was the voice for those in need for many years. Anyone can be a member, no matter what race, creed, or color. Please come out and be a part of this event. For more information, please call Mary Alice Hayes at (928) 587-1980.
