Arizona Public Service Co., along with 14 other businesses, was presented the 2014 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award Sept. 26 by Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel in Washington, D.C. Don Brandt, APS chairman, president and CEO, accepted the award on behalf of the company and its employees. The Freedom Award is the nation’s highest honor for supporting Guard and Reserve employees. APS was the only business from Arizona so honored.
