WPD Thefts Oct. 9-15, 2023


The Winslow Police Department received seven reports of theft during the period of Oct. 9-15 according to dispatcher reports. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by WPD officers in connection with these incidents are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.

At 3:58 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, a resident reported the theft of a wood stove and piping valued at $1,000 from the 600 block of Jefferson Street.

At 3:29 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, an employee of Dollar General, located at 705 Mike’s Pike St., reported the theft of three unknown items.

At 11:24 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12, an employee of Circle K No. 1, located at 524 W. Third St., reported the theft of alcohol. A warrant has been issued for a 16-year-old girl in connection with the incident.

At 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, an employee of Circle K No. 1, reported the theft of two energy drinks valued at $7.19.

At 5:15 p.m. on Friday an employee of Walmart, located at 700 Mike’s Pike St., reported the theft of items. A 15-year-old girl was issued a juvenile referral for shoplifting in connection with the incident.

At 6 p.m. on Friday, an employee of Circle K No. 2, located at 317 N. Williamson Ave., reported a theft of alcohol valued at $17.50.

At 8:56 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, a resident reported the theft of a vehicle from the 400 block of North Campbell Avenue. The vehicle was recovered.
