WPD investigates three thefts

The Winslow Police Department received three reports of theft during the period of Feb. 12-18, according to dispatcher reports. Persons who were cited, charged, or arrested by WPD officers in connection with these incidents are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.

At 3:25 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18, an employee of Circle K, located at 317 N. Williamson Ave., reported a theft of items valued at $9.25. Ronny Silas, 23, was arrested for drug paraphernalia possession, shoplifting and two warrants in connection with the incident.

At 8:32 p.m. on Sunday an employee of Frito Lay, located at 499 N. Edwin Ave., reported a theft of chips and bread.
